New drug cocktail aims to tame aggressive blood cancers
NCT ID NCT01515527
Summary
This study is testing whether combining three chemotherapy drugs can help control acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The treatment is for older adults or those who cannot tolerate standard intensive chemotherapy, including some with relapsed disease. Researchers want to see if this combination can keep the cancer in check longer while being manageable for patients.
