Could a simple supplement ease the endless sleepless nights after brain injury?

NCT ID NCT04603443

Summary

This study tested whether a dietary supplement called branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) could improve sleep and thinking problems in Veterans with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). 160 participants were randomly assigned to take either the supplement or a placebo for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the treatment was practical and acceptable, and to gather early evidence on whether it helps with sleep, to plan a larger future study.
