First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether taking amino acid supplements during dialysis can reduce fatigue, frailty, and brain fog in people with end-stage kidney disease. About 28 adults on regular hemodialysis will receive either a single amino acid (valine) or a mix of essential amino acids. The goal is to see if these supplements improve energy, strength, and daily function.
