First human tests begin for experimental asthma drug

Summary

This is the first study in humans to test the safety of a new experimental drug called AMG 691 for asthma. Researchers will give single and multiple doses to 124 healthy adults and adults with mild-to-moderate asthma to see how their bodies handle the drug and check for side effects. The main goal is to determine if the drug is safe enough to test further in larger studies.
