NCT ID NCT00631852

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether an extract of American ginseng root (LEAG) could change certain markers in breast cancer tumors. Sixteen women took ginseng tablets for 5–14 days before their surgery. Researchers measured changes in inflammation and growth-related proteins in the tumor tissue. This was a very small, early-stage study focused on biological effects, not on treating or curing cancer.
