Scientists track how aging eyes lose night vision

NCT ID NCT03225131

Summary

This study follows 57 people with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) for five more years to understand how their eyes adjust to darkness over time. Participants who completed an earlier study will have regular eye exams and vision tests. The goal is to learn how changes in night vision might predict the progression of AMD, a leading cause of vision loss in older adults.
