Can a coach stop you from going blind? study tests new strategy for eye disease
NCT ID NCT05667441
Summary
This study tested whether giving people with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) personalized information about their genetic risk and/or coaching could help them stick to recommended lifestyle changes. Researchers wanted to see if these strategies were better than standard advice at motivating 150 participants to eat healthier, exercise, and quit smoking. The goal was to find the best way to help people slow down the progression of this common eye disease.
