Eye scans could predict future blindness risk
NCT ID NCT00734487
Summary
This study aimed to see if detailed eye scans could predict vision loss in people at risk for age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Researchers followed 470 participants for five years, using special imaging to track tiny changes in the back of the eye. The goal was to find early warning signs that could help doctors know which patients might lose their sight.
