Scientists search eye fluid for clues to why macular degeneration treatments fail
NCT ID NCT03630562
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some patients with wet age-related macular degeneration don't respond well to standard eye injections. Researchers measured specific proteins in the fluid inside the eyes of 100 patients. The goal was to identify biological markers that might predict treatment response and reveal alternative disease pathways.
