Ambulance blood test aims to spot deadly strokes in minutes

NCT ID NCT07231315

Summary

This study is testing a new finger-prick blood test that paramedics can use in the ambulance. The goal is to quickly tell if someone is having a bleeding stroke (intracerebral hemorrhage) versus another type of stroke. Researchers will enroll about 465 adults with suspected stroke symptoms to see if the test results match what hospital brain scans show.
