Could a simple tear test spot Alzheimer's?

NCT ID NCT06661564

Summary

This study aims to find a new, easier way to diagnose Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will collect small tear samples from 90 people, including those with Alzheimer's and healthy volunteers. They will check if certain proteins and other substances in tears can reliably indicate the disease, potentially offering a simpler alternative to current spinal fluid tests.
