Summary
This study looked at immune cells called alveolar macrophages in the lungs of 18 people with non-infectious lung diseases. Researchers used a technique called flow cytometry to study the surface proteins on these cells. The goal was to better understand the role of these cells in lung disease, not to test a new treatment.
