Can qigong and meditation ease student mental health struggles?
NCT ID NCT06013930
Summary
This study tested whether three different non-medication approaches could help reduce anxiety and depression symptoms in college students. Fifty-five students were randomly assigned to try either external qigong (a gentle energy practice), mindfulness meditation, or an educational program about mental health. Researchers measured changes in anxiety, depression, and students' intention to stay in college over several weeks to see which approach worked best.
