First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested a new inhaler (PT027) that combines a fast-acting bronchodilator with a steroid against a standard bronchodilator inhaler (PT007) in 190 adults with asthma. Researchers measured how well each drug improved lung function after triggering airway narrowing with a mannitol challenge. The goal was to see if the combination works better for acute asthma attacks.
