Could video calls ease the burden of hospital visits for ALS patients?
NCT ID NCT05621213
Summary
This study aimed to see if people with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) who use a breathing machine at night would be more satisfied with follow-up care done from home via video call, compared to regular in-person hospital visits. It involved 38 patients living at home who were already using the breathing machine. The main goal was to check if this remote care was just as good for managing their breathing and made life easier by reducing tiring trips to the hospital.
