First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to understand amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) by growing skin cells from patients in the lab. Researchers will take small skin samples and blood from 110 adults, including people with ALS, healthy carriers of ALS-related gene changes, and control subjects. By stressing the cells and looking for abnormal protein clumps, they hope to learn more about how the disease works.
