Blood clues: scientists hunt for faster ALS test
NCT ID NCT07479017
Summary
This study aims to find a faster way to diagnose ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) by looking for specific markers in blood platelets. Researchers will compare blood samples from 60 people recently diagnosed with ALS to those with other similar nerve diseases. The goal is to identify a unique 'fingerprint' in the blood that could lead to a simpler diagnostic test.
