Summary
This study tests whether alpha lipoic acid, a common antioxidant supplement, can prevent or lessen skin irritation caused by radiation therapy in breast cancer patients. Forty women scheduled for radiation will take the supplement and be monitored for skin reactions and inflammation. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to protect skin during cancer treatment.
