Summary
This study tests whether alpha-lipoic acid, a natural antioxidant, can prevent kidney damage in cancer patients receiving cisplatin chemotherapy. About 50 adults with solid tumors will take either alpha-lipoic acid or a placebo alongside their chemo. Researchers will monitor kidney function and quality of life to see if the supplement offers protection.
