Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called ALK-001 in people with geographic atrophy, an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration that causes blind spots. About 200 participants received the drug and 100 received a placebo. The goal was to see if ALK-001 could slow the growth of damaged areas in the eye and check for side effects.
