First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether showing health warning messages in a liquor store app changes how much alcohol people buy. Over 11,700 adults in Sweden used the app as usual, but some saw health warnings while others saw standard messages. The goal was to see if warnings affect purchases, knowledge, and feelings about alcohol risks.
