Summary
This study looked at how a sense of presence in virtual reality (VR) affects alcohol cravings and relapse in people with alcohol dependence. 60 adults who had completed withdrawal treatment were shown alcohol-related cues in VR. The goal was to see if feeling more present in the VR environment was linked to stronger cravings. This was an observational study, not a treatment trial.
