Church-Based alcohol treatment shows promise for black communities

Summary

This study tests whether offering alcohol use disorder treatment in Black churches helps more people start and stay in treatment compared to traditional specialty clinics. About 137 Black adults with alcohol use disorder will receive either church-based or clinic-based therapy. The goal is to see which setting leads to better engagement and more alcohol-free days.
