Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between alcohol use disorder, oral health, and body-wide inflammation. Researchers are recruiting 72 people, including those being treated for alcohol use disorder and healthy volunteers, to test a new oral health survey and collect saliva, blood, and dental exam data. The goal is to learn if mouth health and specific biomarkers can reveal more about the overall health impacts of alcohol.
