NCT ID NCT06004830

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a medication not officially approved for alcohol problems, combined with counseling from a pharmacist, can help people living with HIV reduce their drinking. The goal is to see if this approach is practical, safe, and acceptable to patients. The study will involve about 30 veterans who have HIV and an alcohol use disorder.
