Summary
This study looks at how a specific gene (CHRNA5) might influence how people experience alcohol and how their brains respond to alcohol-related cues. Healthy adults aged 21-60, both smokers and non-smokers, will receive alcohol through an IV or drink it while researchers monitor their brain activity with MRI and track their drinking behavior. The goal is to understand why some people are more at risk for alcohol use disorder.
