NCT ID NCT05570851
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether personalized text messages can help head and neck cancer survivors stop drinking alcohol. Drinking raises the risk of cancer coming back, so 126 survivors from two hospitals received either tailored texts or simple feedback. The goal was to see if the texts were acceptable and could lead to more people quitting alcohol.
