Brain scans could reveal best addiction treatment
NCT ID NCT05855668
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people respond better to therapy for alcohol or cannabis addiction than others. Researchers will enroll 400 adults with these disorders, give them detailed brain function tests, and then provide 12 weeks of standard therapy. The main goal is to see if the initial brain tests can predict changes in substance use and cravings during treatment.
