Does your evening drink cause a heart flutter? science wants to know
NCT ID NCT06754176
Summary
This study aims to find out if drinking alcohol causes more episodes of an irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation (AFib) in people who already have it. For two weeks, 100 participants will be randomly told each day whether to drink or avoid alcohol while wearing several monitors to track their heart rhythm, alcohol intake, and other health factors. The goal is to better understand the immediate link between alcohol and heart rhythm problems.
