Could a blood protein fluid save more lives from septic shock?

NCT ID NCT05208242

Summary

This UK study tested whether a special fluid made from a blood protein (20% albumin) works better than standard salt solutions for patients with life-threatening septic shock in intensive care. The main goal was to see if it's practical to run a larger future trial. Researchers randomly assigned 47 patients to receive either the albumin fluid or standard fluids and monitored their recovery for six months.
