Summary
This study tested whether a gel made from patients' own blood, called albumin platelet-rich fibrin (Alb-PRF), can improve gum healing after deep cleaning for advanced gum disease. Twenty-three adults with Stage 3 periodontitis received the gel in deep gum pockets on one side of the mouth, while the other side got standard cleaning alone.
