Could a common protein be the key to better stroke recovery?

Summary
This large study is testing if adding a protein called albumin to the standard emergency procedure for removing a stroke-causing blood clot helps patients recover more function. It will involve about 1,200 adults who have just had a major stroke. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days after their stroke when albumin is part of their treatment.
