New study tracks breathing effort to prevent lung injury
NCT ID NCT05576246
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at 12 healthy volunteers to see if a simple breathing test during non-invasive ventilation (a breathing machine) can measure how hard someone is working to breathe. The goal is to help doctors adjust ventilation to avoid lung damage. The study was completed and focused on understanding the body's response, not on treating a disease.
