NCT ID NCT04849104
First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at how tiny organisms in the lungs (airway microecology) are related to the development and changes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Researchers will collect lung fluid from 210 adults with or at risk for COPD and track their lung function and symptoms for 4 years. The goal is to better understand the role of lung bacteria in COPD, not to test a new treatment.
