Summary
This study looked at how safe and effective automated insulin delivery (AID) systems are for physically active adults with type 1 diabetes. 76 participants used their own commercial or homemade (DIY) AID systems for 6 weeks while researchers tracked their blood sugar, activity, and diet. The goal was to see how well these systems prevent low blood sugar during and after exercise in everyday life.
