AI vs. doctors: can computers find hidden TB and COVID cases?

NCT ID NCT05220163

Summary

This study is testing whether a computer program that reads chest X-rays can help find cases of tuberculosis (TB) and COVID-19 more efficiently in communities in Africa. It will involve over 26,000 adults to see if using this artificial intelligence (AI) tool can speed up diagnosis and make better use of limited medical resources. The goal is to create a faster, more affordable way to screen for both diseases at the same time.
