First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to see if an artificial intelligence (AI) program can accurately detect and predict atrial fibrillation (AF) using data from consumer wearable devices like smartwatches. Researchers will enroll 40 adults with AF to develop and test the AI algorithm against standard heart monitoring. The goal is to create a non-invasive, continuous monitoring method that could help diagnose AF earlier and more easily.
