AI-Powered exercise app takes on chronic neck pain
NCT ID NCT07236385
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares an AI-based exercise app (APECS-AI) to standard corrective exercises for people with chronic neck pain, forward head posture, and rounded shoulders. Forty-six participants will be assigned to one of two groups to see which approach better reduces pain, improves function, and corrects posture. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage these common issues.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
AI-based exercise program via APECS-AI app
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a more personalized and effective exercise program for people with chronic neck pain and poor posture.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 46 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The AI approach may not be better than standard exercises.
