AI matches radiologists in prostate cancer detection study
NCT ID NCT06298305
First seen May 23, 2026 ยท Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study tested an AI software called Quantib Prostate to see if it could find suspicious prostate cancer spots on MRI scans as accurately as expert radiologists. Researchers looked back at 200 men who had prostate MRIs and biopsies. The goal was to compare the AI's performance to the radiologist's reading, using biopsy results as the gold standard. This is a research study to understand AI's potential, not a treatment trial.
