First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether virtual reality training before Gamma Knife brain surgery can improve pain relief for people with trigeminal neuralgia, a severe facial pain condition. Researchers will also use MRI scans and artificial intelligence to find brain patterns that predict who will benefit most from surgery. The goal is to personalize treatment and reduce the number of people who still have pain after surgery.
