Your voice could reveal cancer: AI listens for disease clues

NCT ID NCT07347899

Summary

This study explored whether artificial intelligence (AI) could detect oral and throat cancer by analyzing voice recordings. Researchers collected speech samples from 501 people, including cancer patients and healthy individuals, while they said specific vowel sounds. The goal was to develop AI models that could help doctors screen for and diagnose these cancers earlier by identifying subtle changes in speech patterns.
