AI & ultrasound could speed up stroke diagnosis in emergency
NCT ID NCT07319013
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, portable brain ultrasound scan, combined with artificial intelligence (AI), can help doctors quickly identify if a stroke is caused by bleeding in the brain. It involves 500 adults who have just had a stroke, comparing the AI's analysis of the ultrasound images to the results of the standard CT scan. The goal is to see if this method could help diagnose strokes faster in places where CT scanners aren't immediately available, like ambulances or smaller hospitals.
