AI steps in to help doctors cut dangerous pills for seniors
NCT ID NCT06660979
Summary
This study is testing a new computer tool that uses artificial intelligence to help primary care doctors safely reduce or stop high-risk medications for patients aged 65 and older. The tool learns what advice works best for each doctor and provides personalized suggestions in their electronic health record system. Researchers will compare the new tool against usual care to see if it helps doctors deprescribe more often over a 30-week period.
