AI steps into the ER to fight silent kidney damage
NCT ID NCT06840210
Summary
This study is testing a new computer tool that uses artificial intelligence to help emergency room doctors spot and manage sudden kidney injury (AKI) earlier. It will be used at three hospitals with up to 200,000 adult patients who get a blood test in the ER. The goal is to see if the AI tool helps doctors make better decisions, prevents the kidney injury from getting worse, and fits smoothly into the busy ER workflow.
