AI could spot breast cancer risk from family history alone

NCT ID NCT07070128

First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool can accurately predict a woman's genetic risk of developing breast cancer by analyzing her family cancer history. Researchers will compare the AI's predictions with standard genetic test results in 800 women who have already been identified as high-risk by their doctors. The goal is to see if the AI tool can reliably identify who needs genetic counseling, potentially making risk assessment faster and more accessible.
