AI sorts blood clot patients to predict their future health
NCT ID NCT06183944
Summary
This study aims to use artificial intelligence (AI) to sort over 2,500 patients who have had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung) into different groups based on their health details at diagnosis. By looking back at past patients and following new ones for six months, researchers want to see if patients in certain groups are more likely to have another clot or develop complications. The goal is to find patterns that could one day help doctors make better treatment decisions, but this study itself does not change how patients are currently treated.
