AI brain for your spine? smart stimulation aims to rewire walking after injury
NCT ID NCT07452133
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive spinal stimulation device that uses artificial intelligence. The device aims to improve walking ability in people with incomplete spinal cord injuries by adjusting its electrical pulses in real-time based on the person's muscle signals and movement. Researchers will compare this 'smart' stimulation to standard, fixed stimulation in a small group of participants to see if it leads to better muscle control and walking patterns.
