AI smart cars aim to help patients walk more safely

NCT ID NCT07230366

Summary

This study is testing whether using an AI-powered smart electric vehicle for walking (gait) training is safe and helpful for people with Parkinson's disease or dementia. About 120 participants aged 50-85 will use the vehicle for training sessions 2-3 times per week for 2 to 12 weeks. Researchers will measure if the training improves walking speed, balance, confidence, and reduces the number of falls.
