Summary
This study is developing a new, non-invasive test that uses saliva and artificial intelligence to detect gum disease (periodontitis) early. Researchers will collect saliva from 200 adults—some with gum disease and some healthy—and use a special sensor and AI to see if it can accurately tell the difference. The goal is to create a quick, painless tool for dentists to catch gum disease sooner, before it causes serious damage.
