First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can analyze MRI scans to predict how well rectal cancer responds to chemotherapy and radiation before surgery. About 1,700 adults with advanced rectal cancer will have their scans reviewed by the AI to see if it can accurately identify patients who achieve a complete response. The goal is to help doctors make better treatment decisions without relying on invasive procedures.
